The longer reads — worth a coffee.

Building your form

Getting started: your first sheet, start to finish

The whole path in one read — create the account, build and publish a sheet, share the link, invite your regulars, watch sign-ups arrive, add a backup admin, connect your ChMS. About ten minutes.

Create a sign-up form

Start a sheet, add slots, a yes/no RSVP question, or a carpool question, and get it ready to share.

Start from a template

Eight ready-made sheets — potluck, meal train, 24-hour prayer vigil, angel tree, ministry interest form, kids' permission form, event RSVP, and a memorial list — created as a draft you edit before publishing. Every plan.

Build a plain form (no slots)

Start a sheet as “Just a form” to collect answers with no spots to fill — connect cards, prayer requests, interest lists. Responses land on your dashboard, in the CSV, and on your People page — and you can switch off the copy each person gets.

Organize with sections

Group slots under headings like “Food” or “Setup crew,” or give a section a date so every slot under it takes that day.

Custom questions & conditional logic

Ask for a t-shirt size, allergies, or anything else — required or optional, with questions that appear only when an earlier answer calls for it.

Publish, share & embed

Go live with a link, QR code, or an embed on your site — and set when sign-ups open and close, or lock a sheet.

Your church page

One public link that lists every sheet you choose, with open-spot counts — for the newsletter, the website, and the lobby TV. Every plan.

Organize your dashboard: folders, grid view & sorting

Group your sheets into folders, switch the dashboard between a list and a grid of tiles, and sort by event date, newest, or title. Every plan.

Draft a sheet with AI

Describe your sign-up in a sentence — “4 greeters, 2 nursery volunteers, and someone on slides for both services” — and get a complete draft sheet to review in the editor. Describe a connect card or prayer-request form and get a plain form instead. Pro.

Collect a memorial (necrology) list

Start from the necrology template to gather names to remember at All Saints' or a memorial service — one form, several names, no “How many?”.

Embed on your website

Embed a sign-up sheet in Squarespace

Add a Code block in HTML mode, paste the inline snippet from the Share tab, save — and which Squarespace plans allow an iframe in a Code block.

Embed a sign-up sheet in Wix

Add Elements → Embed Code → Embed HTML, paste the snippet, apply, then size the element and publish.

Embed a sign-up sheet in WordPress

The Custom HTML block (or the Classic editor's Text tab), and why WordPress.com's free plan strips the frame while a self-hosted site keeps it.

Embed a sign-up sheet in Webflow

Drop an Embed element on the canvas, paste, Save & Close, publish — Webflow renders custom code on paid site plans.

Embed a sign-up sheet in Google Sites

Insert → Embed → Embed code, paste, Insert, Publish — or give the sheet a whole page with a full-page embed. Free on every Google account.

Embed a sign-up sheet in Nucleus

An HTML (Embed) section with a custom code snippet, which sizing option to pick, and the Save Now button that keeps it.

Embed a sign-up sheet in Tithe.ly Sites

The text editor's Source code button is the one place pasted HTML runs — paste the snippet there, click OK, save the page.

Embed a sign-up sheet in Subsplash (SnapPages)

Add a section, add the HTML (code) block, paste the snippet, save and publish — and what to give the Subsplash app instead.

Can I put the sign-up form in an email or newsletter?

No — email apps don't run forms. Send the link as a button, the QR code, or your church page's address; the invitation and message tools already carry the link.

ChMS integrations

Your volunteers

Your account

Emails & notifications

Every email SignUpChurch sends — to volunteers, to admins, and to the account owner — and where to turn each one on or off.

Send sign-ups to Slack

Post each form's new sign-ups and cancellations to a Slack channel, with only the fields your team needs. Pro.

Change or pause your plan

Upgrades, downgrades, and pausing billing for the slow season — keep every feature, pay nothing for 1–3 months.

Billing: payment, invoices, switching plans & what a downgrade changes

Who can see billing, how you pay, where invoices go (and how to send them to your bookkeeper), the free trial, switching between Basic and Pro, a failed card, refunds — and exactly what keeps working and what stops when a church drops to Free.

Refer a church, get free sheets

Earn up to 3 extra free active sheets — and 20% off for a year — by referring other churches.

Your account: login, password, invoices, deletion

Change your login email or password, two-factor codes, invoices in the Stripe portal, deleting the account yourself and what that removes, and what to try when a page won't load.

Security & your data

What we store about admins and volunteers, who owns it, how it's protected, where it lives (all US providers), what volunteers' pages never do, how to export or delete it, the GDPR paperwork, and who to email about a security problem or an abusive sheet.

Two-factor authentication

Add a 6-digit authenticator code to your login — optional, free on every plan.

Join your church's existing account

Someone at your church already uses SignUpChurch? Ask to join their account as an admin instead of running a separate one.

Transfer ownership

Hand your account to another admin before you leave — and what to do if the person who set it up is already gone.

For volunteers

Sign up for a sheet (no account needed)

Open the link your church shared, pick your spots, type your name and email, and confirm. No login, no app, and what the church sees versus what the page shows.

Change or cancel your sign-up

The link in your confirmation or reminder email is yours alone — change how many you're bringing or your note, or cancel. No account needed.

Add your sign-up to your calendar

Google Calendar and Outlook buttons on the thanks page and in your confirmation email, plus an attached invite for Apple Calendar — one per date you signed up for.

You're on the waitlist — what happens next

When a full spot frees up, the first person in line gets an email with 24 hours to claim it. Where you are in line, how to claim, and how to leave the list.

Every email you can get from SignUpChurch

Confirmation, reminder, cancellation, a message from your church, a changed time, waitlist, carpool, text reminders — the whole list, and nothing else, ever.

Add a sign-up sheet to your home screen

Share → Add to Home Screen on iPhone, ⋮ → Add to Home screen on Android: your church's sign-ups under its name, one tap away. No app store, no account.

I didn't get my confirmation email

Where to look, when no email is sent on purpose, and how to get a wrong address fixed without signing up twice.

Text reminders: what we text, and how to stop

One text the day before, only if you ticked the box. STOP to end them, START to resume, HELP for help.

Is this email really from SignUpChurch?

The addresses we send from, where every link goes, and the things we never ask for — no passwords, no payments, no phone calls.

Who can see your sign-up details

What other volunteers see on the page, what the church sees, what a carpool driver gets, and what SignUpChurch does with your information.
