SMS Terms

SignUpChurch, operated by Katie Allred Consulting LLC, has two kinds of text, each with its own box on a church's sign-up form:

• Day-before reminders about something you signed up for.
• Volunteer requests from a church — “we still need two more in the toddler rooms Sunday,” or “the new season's sign-up is open” — written by that church and sent through SignUpChurch. We haven't started sending these yet; until we do, the box only records your choice.

We never send marketing, fundraising, or promotional texts. A church can never text you unless you checked its volunteer-request box yourself.

You only receive texts if you checked this unchecked-by-default box when signing up and provided your mobile number: “Text me a reminder from SignUpChurch the day before my sign-up (1 msg per event day). Consent is not required to sign up. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.” That box covers day-before reminders only.

You only receive a church's volunteer requests if you checked its own, separate, unchecked-by-default box: “Text me from SignUpChurch when [the church] needs volunteers (up to 4 msgs/mo). Consent is not required to sign up. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.” That box covers only that church, and checking one box never checks the other.

Nobody can opt you in on your behalf — sign-ups a church office enters for you, and lists a church imports, never enable texting. Consent is not a condition of signing up; skip either box and everything else works the same, including email reminders.

Expect at most one reminder text per event day you signed up for — if you claimed three slots on the same day, they arrive as one message — and at most four volunteer-request texts a month from each church whose box you checked. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Reply STOP to any message and all texts from SignUpChurch end immediately, reminders and volunteer requests alike — that's handled at the carrier level and we can never override it. Reply START to resume. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at support@signupchurch.com. Canceling a sign-up also means no reminder for it, text or otherwise.

Your phone number is used to send the texts you asked for and is shown to the church whose sheet you signed — the same as the rest of your sign-up details. We never sell it, and no mobile information is shared with third parties for marketing or lead generation. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
