Does importing change or delete anything on Jotform?

My form's appointment field didn't become slots — why?

Slots need a bounded date range. An appointment field set to rolling availability ("the next 30 days") has no fixed dates to import, so it's left out — add the dated slots you want in the editor, or set start and end dates on the Jotform side and re-import.

They arrive as a pick-one dropdown — SignUpChurch questions are single-choice. The draft editor shows every imported question, so you can reword it ("Pick your main area") or split it into multiple yes/no questions before publishing.

Import a form from Jotform

A Jotform sign-up is a form full of questions — sometimes with a time-slot picker in the middle. The importer reads the same public page your volunteers see and rebuilds both halves: the slot picker becomes dated slots with spot counts, and the questions become custom questions on your SignUpChurch form, conditional logic included.

The short answer: Go to Dashboard → New sheet, choose 📋 Import a sheet in the “What are you organizing?” chooser, paste your form's public form.jotform.com/… link, and we rebuild it here as a draft. Time-slot (appointment) fields become real slots with dates, times, and capacities; your questions come over with their show-when conditions; name, email, and phone configure the contact fields. Review, tweak, publish. Existing submissions stay on Jotform; nothing there is changed.

How to import

Copy your form's public link.
It's the link you share with volunteers — usually form.jotform.com/… or jotform.com/form/…. Any version works: with or without https://, straight from a browser bar or an old email.
Paste it on the New sheet screen.
In the dashboard, click New sheet and choose 📋 Import a sheet in the “What are you organizing?” chooser. Paste the link and click Import sheet.
Review the draft and publish.
You land in the editor with everything rebuilt. Check the slots and questions, trim what you don't need, then publish and share like any other sheet.

What imports (and what doesn't)

Comes over: the form title and description, appointment fields as dated slots (every time step in the configured date range, with each slot's capacity), dropdowns, multiple-choice and short/long answer fields as custom questions — required flags and “show this question when…” conditions included — plus whether email and phone are asked for.
Stays behind: existing submissions (volunteers' names and answers), file uploads, signatures, address and date fields, matrix grids, payment fields, and the visual theme. Anything skipped is easy to spot when you review the draft next to your original form.

The import is read-only: it looks at your public form the same way a volunteer's browser does. Nothing on Jotform is modified, and no Jotform login is needed.
