Sign-up forms that sync straight into Tithe.ly
Every volunteer who signs up lands in your Tithe.ly (Elvanto) people list — matched by email or created new — and linked sheets add them to the serving group you pick.

how it connects
Where the sync stands
Tithe.ly no longer offers public API access, so the Tithe.ly (Elvanto) sync is built and waiting on partner API access from Tithe.ly. It shows as “Coming soon” on the Integrations page — drop us a note from the help center for a heads-up when it goes live.
Elvanto groups, one sheet at a time
Elvanto's API doesn't allow writing service rosters — no tool can do it — so a sheet links to the next best thing: a group, the way many Elvanto churches organize serving teams. Everyone who signs up is added to the group you pick; cancel a sign-up and they're removed only if the sign-up is what added them. Existing group members are never touched.
the good stuff
What the Tithe.ly / Elvanto sync gets you
Into the right serving group
Link a sheet to the Elvanto group behind the team — greeters, kids ministry, setup crew — and sign-ups join it automatically, ready for your group flows.
Match by email, create if new
Members stay one record; new volunteers become one clean person with name, email, and mobile — the follow-up list builds itself.
Protective of existing members
Cancellations only remove people the sign-up itself added — someone who was already in the group before signing up can never be swept out by a canceled slot.
no surprises in your database
Exactly what sync writes — and never will
What it writes
- Searches your people list by the volunteer's email first — returning volunteers are matched, not duplicated.
- New volunteers become a person with first name, last name, email, and mobile phone.
- A returning volunteer whose record shows no phone at all gets the mobile they typed filled in — an existing number is never changed.
- On sheets linked to an Elvanto group: the volunteer is added to that group, and removed on cancellation only if the sign-up added them.
What it never touches
- Never edits or overwrites existing contact details.
- Never deletes people, and never creates groups.
- Never touches services rosters (Elvanto's API doesn't allow roster writes) or giving.
- Never imports or stores your Elvanto data — sync is one-way.
Matching keys off the volunteer's email, so on sheets where you've made email optional, a sign-up made without one is never synced — no unmatchable records, no duplicates. The full transparency doc lives in the help center: what sync updates (and what it doesn't).
Questions churches ask
How do sign-ups get into Tithe.ly?
Once the sync is live: automatically, moments after each sign-up (Pro plan). We search your Elvanto people list by email; a match is kept as one record, and a new volunteer is created with name, email, and mobile phone.
Can sign-ups go onto an Elvanto service roster?
No — Elvanto's public API doesn't allow writing rosters, for us or anyone. Instead, a sheet can be linked to an Elvanto group, which is how many churches run their serving teams.
Will it overwrite existing records?
No. The one addition ever made to an existing person is filling in a mobile number when their record shows no phone at all — an existing number is never changed.
When can I connect, and what will it cost?
The Tithe.ly sync is built and waiting on partner API access from Tithe.ly, which no longer offers public API keys. When it goes live, it'll be part of the Pro plan ($24/mo) — drop us a note from the help center for a heads-up.
