September roundup: 2FA, dashboard search, and volunteers who fix their own typos
September was a big month. Here's everything that shipped, shortest-to-longest explanation — every one of these is live in your dashboard right now.
Volunteers can edit their own sign-up
The change we heard asked for most: volunteers can now update or cancel their own sign-up from the confirmation link — no more “can you switch me to the 11am?” emails. Alongside it: optional sign-up deadlines, details shown only to confirmed volunteers (addresses, gate codes, the stuff that shouldn't be public), and the option to hide volunteer names on the public page.
Dated slots & the slot generator
Any slot can now carry its own date, and the generator creates weeks of them in one pass — every Tuesday for two months, one slot per day, done. Meal trains and flower calendars stopped being copy-paste jobs.
Two-factor authentication
Optional authenticator-app 2FA (with recovery codes) for every admin account, free on every plan, in Dashboard → Security. Your people's contact info lives in these sheets; it deserves a second lock.
Dashboard search
Type a name — of a sheet or a person — and results filter as you type. Small feature, daily payoff once you're past a handful of sheets.
Every sign-up, straight to your inbox
Admins can now get an email with the full details of every new sign-up — name, slot, quantity, note — instead of checking the dashboard.
Refer a church
Know a church that needs this? Your referral link gives them 20% off for a year — and earns you up to 3 extra free active sheets. Details in the refer-a-church guide.
And the headliner
The CCB (Pushpay) sync went live, and carpool sign-ups got their own deep dive. What's next lives on the public roadmap — including the AI sheet builder we're planning.
