The AI sheet builder: describe your sign-up, get a draft

You already know what you need — “4 greeters, 2 nursery volunteers, and someone on slides for both services.” The part that eats your Tuesday is turning that sentence into a form: a slot per job, capacities, times, sections. As of today, on Pro, the sentence is the setup.

The short version: On Dashboard → New sheet, Pro accounts get a ✨ Draft it with AI option in the “What are you organizing?” chooser. Type what you’re organizing (or tap an example to start from), optionally pick the event date, and you land in the editor with a complete unpublished draft — sections, slots, and spot counts filled in. Nothing goes live until you publish.

What it drafts

One sentence in, a whole sheet out: a title volunteers will recognize, a short description, slots with capacities (“4 greeters” becomes a greeter slot with 4 spots), per-service times when you name them, sections when the jobs group naturally — setup crew here, food there — and even one-slot-per-date runs for meal trains. It drafts up to 120 slots and 15 sections in one go.

The draft opens in the same editor every sheet uses, because the editor is the review step: rename a slot, drag things around, tighten a capacity, then publish when it’s right. If the draft misses, tweak your description and generate again — each church gets 20 generations a day.

Built for church sign-ups, not generic forms

The builder speaks fluent ministry. Example prompts on the screen cover the classics — Sunday serve teams, a meal train, fall festival stations, VBS week, a greeters rotation — and every one is editable before you generate. It knows “both services” means a slot per service and that a two-week meal train wants a slot per night, each with its own date.
