Try SignUpChurch without an account

The most common question we get from a church looking at SignUpChurch isn't about pricing or sync. It's “what does the sign-up page actually look like?” Screenshots answer some of it. A video answers more. But the honest answer is to hand you the thing and let you poke at it — without making you create an account first.

The short version: signupchurch.com/demo is a sandbox that runs in your browser. Build a sample sheet on the left — title, slots, spot counts — and the real volunteer sign-up page appears on the right. Sign yourself up and watch the card update. No login, nothing saved; refresh and it's gone.

What you can do

  • Build a sheet the way the real New sheet screen works: pick volunteer sign-ups, an event RSVP, or both; give it a title, a date, a location; add slots with the number of spots each one needs, or leave the count blank for no limit.
  • See the volunteer page update as you type. It is the same component a published sheet renders, down to the spots-left counts and the “Signed up:” names on each card.
  • Sign up as a volunteer. Pick a spot or two, type a name, confirm. The cards fill in, the way they would for your congregation. That is the whole volunteer flow: one page, one form, no account on their side either.
  • Try a couple of settings — hide who signed up (what a benevolence meal train does) or pick an accent color to see what a Basic or Pro church's themed form looks like.

What it deliberately leaves out

The sandbox stops where an account starts. It doesn't mint a link or a QR code (the address bar just says “example”), it doesn't send a confirmation email, there's no dashboard behind it, and nothing syncs anywhere. It also skips the starts that need a real account: the AI builder, the templates, and the SignUpGenius and Jotform importers. It's a look at the product, not a trial of it — the Free plan is the trial, and it doesn't expire.

Nothing you type on the demo page is stored, on your device or ours. A refresh resets it to the example. If you build something you like, creating a free account takes about a minute and the New sheet screen asks the same questions.

Common questions

Do I need an account to use the sandbox?
No. It runs entirely in your browser — no login, no email address, nothing sent to us.
Is anything saved?
No. The sheet lives only in that browser tab. Refresh or close it and it resets to the example. Sign-ups you make in the volunteer view update the cards on the page and nowhere else.
Is the volunteer view the real thing?
Yes. It's the same page component a published sheet uses, so the cards, the spots-left counts, the names, and the one-form sign-up flow are exactly what your volunteers get. The address bar just reads “example” because the sandbox doesn't mint a real link.
What isn't in the sandbox?
Anything that needs an account: a shareable link and QR code, custom questions, the waitlist, confirmation and reminder emails, your dashboard, and ChMS sync. The AI builder, templates, and the SignUpGenius/Jotform importer aren't there either.
