The importer learns Jotform — slots, questions, and conditional logic

Last week the importer learned SignUpGenius. Today it learns Jotform — and because a Jotform sign-up is really a form full of questions, this import brings over more than slots: your dropdowns, your required fields, even your “only show this when…” logic arrive ready to review.

The short version: On Dashboard → New sheet, paste a public form.jotform.com/… link into the import box. Appointment (time-slot) fields become real slots with dates, times, and capacities; your questions become custom questions with their conditional logic intact. Works on every plan, including Free — and nothing on Jotform is touched.

What the importer does

It reads the same public page your volunteers see — no Jotform login, no export file — and rebuilds the whole form as a draft sheet:

Time-slot pickers become slots. A Jotform appointment field carries a date range, weekly hours, a slot length, and how many people fit each slot. The importer expands all of it — every hour of every configured day arrives as a dated slot with its spot count.
Questions become custom questions. Dropdowns and multiple-choice fields come over with their options (a plain Yes/No becomes a yes/no question), short and long answers become text questions, and required stays required — help text included.
Conditional logic survives the move. The classic Jotform setup — “Do you have last year's t-shirt?” with a size dropdown that only appears on “No” — imports as the same show-when rule on your SignUpChurch form.
Contact fields configure themselves. If your form asks for a phone number, the sheet does too; if it doesn't, the field stays off.

It all lands as a draft, so you review, trim, and reword in the editor before anyone sees it — then publish and share like any other sheet.

What it deliberately doesn't do

Your volunteers' existing submissions stay where people typed them. The importer moves your structure, not other people's data, and it never modifies or deletes anything on Jotform. A few field types have no SignUpChurch equivalent — file uploads, signatures, matrix grids, payment fields — and those stay behind too, easy to spot when you review the draft next to your original form.

Importing is on every plan, including Free. Drafts don't count against the Free plan's active-sheet limit until you publish.

Two importers, one box

The import box on the New sheet screen now takes either link — a signupgenius.com/go/… sheet or a form.jotform.com/… form — and figures out the rest. The how-to for both lives in the help center: import from Jotform and import from SignUpGenius.
