Switching from SignUpGenius is now a paste, not a project
The biggest reason churches stay on a sign-up tool they've outgrown isn't love — it's the thought of retyping forty slots. As of today, you don't have to. Paste your SignUpGenius sheet's public link and SignUpChurch rebuilds the whole thing as a draft.
What the importer does
It reads the same public page your volunteers see — no SignUpGenius login, no export file — and rebuilds the structure here: the title and description, and one slot per job per date, with start and end times, spot counts, unlimited slots, per-slot notes, and the location. A season-long sheet with dozens of dates comes over in one paste.
It lands as a draft, so you can trim old dates, reword titles, or reorganize with sections before anyone sees it — then publish and share like any other sheet.
What it deliberately doesn't do
Your volunteers' existing sign-ups — their names and emails — stay where people typed them. The importer moves your structure, not other people's data, and it never modifies or deletes anything on SignUpGenius. Keep the old sheet up until the new one is live, then retire it on your own schedule.
